Over the years, we have successfully litigated, tried and arbitrated a wide range of real estate disputes and have deep experience in project financing, off balance sheet financing, anti-deficiency and one-action litigation, title disputes, land use disputes, commercial leases, insurance claims, mortgage-backed securities, real estate class actions, real estate partnership disputes, specific performance actions, and real estate insolvency proceedings.
Land and Building Advisory
Our land law group advises on compliance with statutory requirements and Regulations stemming from the Land Use Act (“The Act”), Converyancing Act, Registration of Titles Law, Building code and other related Laws and regulations of various States of Nigeria. At Millhouse Legal Advisory, aside from being conversant with the provisions of the Act, we also keep up-to-date with emerging trends and procedures, as well as the latest policies and guidelines issued by the Land Dept. of various States and the interpretations thereto. We also maintain an excellent working relationship with the offices of the various land Departments and Ministries respectively with a view to ensuring that our clients’ interests are protected at all times.
